Who We Are

Fairway Farms is the Hayes family — Tucker and Elizabeth, our three boys, and our baby girl.

About five years ago, God called us to leave the familiar and build a life more connected to His creation. What began as a step of faith has grown into Fairway Farms — a place where stewardship and simplicity meet.

We raise grass-fed and grass-finished beef with integrity and care, honoring the land, the animals, and the people we serve. For us, it’s about more than food — it’s about restoring creation and community.

Why
Grass Finished Beef Is Better

Richer, cleaner flavor

Cattle raised entirely on pasture develop a naturally robust flavor profile due to diverse forage compounds and lower intramuscular fat oxidation.

Healthier Fat Profile

The yellow tint in grass-fed beef fat comes from elevated beta-carotene and vitamin E — antioxidants derived directly from green forage. Grass-fed beef contains higher levels of omega-3 fatty acids, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), and antioxidant vitamins, with a healthier omega-6 to omega-3 ratio than grain-fed beef.

Nutrient Density

Grass-fed beef is leaner, with fewer calories and more protein, iron, and essential fatty acids per serving.

How it Works

1. Choose Your Share

Pick a whole, half, quarter or eighth share — your portion of a single pasture-raised animal.

4. Processing

All beef is processed at Piedmont Custom Meats — a USDA inspected facility right here in central NC.

2. Place Your Deposit

Secure your order with a non-refundable deposit that’s applied toward your final total.

5. Pickup

You’ll get an email when your beef is ready (usually 3–4 weeks later). Pick up at Piedmont Custom Meats and bring coolers.

3. Pick Your Cuts

We’ll send you a cut sheet and walk you through how to customize your order.

6. Final Payment

Pay the remaining balance at pickup based on final hanging weight — simple, transparent, and straightforward.

Find the share that fits your freezer.

Local, grass-finished Angus beef — price includes processing, butchering, and packaging. No hidden fees.
